The Point No Point Treaty Council Archives Program was established in 2016 in order to organize, preserve and provide access to the historical collections of the Point No Point Treaty Council. The Archives houses organizational, legal, scientific, and cultural records created from the work of the Point No Point Treaty Council since its founding in 1974. The Archives Program also provides guidance on records retention, records management, organization, and historical research for Treaty Council staff.
The purpose of the Point No Point Treaty Council Archives Program is to support and further the mission of preserving the history and records of the Treaty Council by collecting, processing, and making available the permanent records of the Point No Point Treaty Council for research purposes of program staff, Treaty Council Board purposes, and for member Tribes’ needs.
